Abstract

The significance of character education is a wisdom of value diversity and social live culture. To achieve this goal, the school education system has developed three subsystems: administration, instruction, and pupil/student personal service. The pupil/student personal service program provides guidance and counseling. Character education can be strengthened by managing. Character education can be strengthened through the administration of Islamic guidance and counseling. Implementation of guidance and counseling management, according to management concept, is one of the manivestation of systematic program on how to plan guidance and counseling activity, how to lead human resource in the organization in order to achieve the goal, how to control the activity of guidance and counseling, andhow to evaluate it. Therefore, the management of Islamic guidance and counselingcan achieve the education goal exspecially in strengthening education character
