One character that needs to be developed from an early age is politeness, which is reflected in students' ability to respect teachers and friends, use good language, greet, ask permission, say thank you, apologize, and obey school rules. However, in practice, the habituation of polite behavior does not always occur consistently in students' lives. This study aims to implement habituation-based character education as an effort to improve polite behavior among elementary school students in Handio Village, Padang Lawas Regency. The study used an action approach implemented through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were elementary school students in Handio Village. The program was implemented through activities to habituate greetings, smiling, greetings, using polite language, asking permission, saying thank you, apologizing, respecting teachers and friends, and obeying school rules. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively by comparing the conditions of student behavior before and after the program implementation. The results of this study are expected to show an increase in students' polite behavior after participating in habit-based character education. This program is also expected to build a positive school culture and provide a simple, contextual, and sustainable character habit model for elementary schools in rural areas. This program is also expected to build a positive school culture and provide a simple, contextual, and sustainable character habit model for elementary schools in rural areas. This study has implications that character education will be more effective if it is not only delivered in the form of material, but is realized through role models, direct practice, positive reinforcement, and consistent habituation.
Mira Yanti Lubis Chairun Nisyah Diana Safutri Hasibuan Enni Royani Nasution Indriani Khoiria Hasibuan Muhammad Zanuar Harahap Nirmala Putri Salsabila Harahap Copyright (c) 2026 Mira Yanti Lubis, Chairun Nisyah, Diana Safutri Hasibuan, Enni Royani Nasution, Indriani, Khoiria Hasibuan, Muhammad Zanuar Harahap, Nirmala Putri Salsabila Harahap https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-09-11 2026-09-11 6 3 6 12 10.62159/kenduri.v6i3.2930 Pemetaan Deskriptif Pengetahuan Umum Tentang Skabies Untuk Penguatan Edukasi Komunitas di Posyandu Seruni, Depok https://siducat.org/index.php/kenduri/article/view/2983
Scabies is a contagious skin infestation that can persist in communities when misconceptions, delayed recognition, and incomplete contact management remain unaddressed. This study described general scabies knowledge among participants of a community education activity at Posyandu Seruni, Depok, and mapped descriptive patterns according to education and health-information source. A descriptive quantitative evaluation was conducted during the activity on 9 February 2026. The broader program used a 20-item true/false questionnaire covering general scabies knowledge, pharmacological treatment, clean and healthy living behavior, and safe supportive herbal use. This manuscript analyzes the five-item general-knowledge domain because these responses were the most consistently verified. Correct answers received one point and were summarized using frequencies, percentages, mean, median, and minimum-maximum scores. Among 51 analyzable responses, the mean score was 68.2% (median 80.0%; range 20.0-100.0%). Thirty-two participants (62.7%) were categorized as having good knowledge, eight (15.7%) adequate knowledge, and 11 (21.6%) poor knowledge. Correctness was highest for transmission through shared clothes, towels, and bed sheets (82.4%) and lowest for rejecting the misconception that scabies affects only people who rarely bathe (49.0%). The highest descriptive mean by education was observed in the Diploma/Bachelor group (80.0%), while social media had the highest descriptive mean by information source (76.0%); cadres/Posyandu were the most common source (56.9%) but had a mean of 62.8%. The findings indicate a fairly good baseline with persistent stigma-related misconceptions. Targeted cadre messages and validated paired pretest-posttest evaluation are recommended; program effectiveness cannot be inferred because paired pretest-posttest data were not available for verification.
Fransiskus Samuel Renaldi Ariska Deffy Anggarany Annisa Farida Muti Andiri Niza Syarifah Aulia Farkhani Dhigna Luthfiyani Citra Pradana Copyright (c) 2026 Fransiskus Samuel Renaldi, Ariska Deffy Anggarany, Annisa Farida Muti, Andiri Niza Syarifah, Aulia Farkhani, Dhigna Luthfiyani Citra Pradana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-09-12 2026-09-12 6 3 13 20 10.62159/kenduri.v6i3.2983 Increasing Community Awareness of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) Production through Coconut Value Addition Training https://siducat.org/index.php/kenduri/article/view/3039
Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) is one form of student community engagement that aims to apply knowledge and skills while supporting the development of local potential. This community service activity was conducted in Rumbai Jaya Village, Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province, by utilizing coconut as a raw material for producing Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). The activity was motivated by the suboptimal utilization of coconuts into processed products with added use value and economic potential. This activity aimed to improve the community’s knowledge and skills in processing coconuts into VCO and to increase awareness of the productive and sustainable utilization of local resources. The method employed a participatory and applicative approach through several stages, namely observation, mapping, discussion, socialization, practice, evaluation, and follow-up. The observation and mapping stages were conducted to identify coconut potential, community needs, activity locations, and relevant parties who could be involved. The socialization stage involved delivering information about the potential of coconuts and VCO, followed by demonstrations and hands-on practice in producing VCO with the community. The results showed that participants gained knowledge about utilizing coconuts as raw materials for VCO and practical experience in understanding the basic processing stages. The activity also encouraged participation, interaction, and collaboration between students and the community. An increase in community income cannot yet be confirmed as a direct outcome because sales and profit measurements were not conducted. Nevertheless, the activity demonstrated opportunities for developing processed coconut products with added value. The sustainability of the program can be supported through further assistance in production, quality improvement, packaging, labeling, and VCO marketing.
Tiara Anggraini Niki Dian Permana Della Marsya Pratama Fiki Amalia Copyright (c) 2026 Tiara Anggraini, Niki Dian Permana, Della Hairina, Fiki Amalia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-09-30 2026-09-30 6 3 21 30 10.62159/kenduri.v6i3.3039 Edukasi Komprehensif Pasar Modal Syariah dan Strategi Inklusi Keuangan di Kalangan Generasi Muda: Studi Empiris Keberhasilan KSPM UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta pada Kompetisi Nasional IDX 10 Days Challenge https://siducat.org/index.php/kenduri/article/view/3052
Enhancing Islamic capital market financial literacy and inclusion among the young demographic represents a pivotal national strategic priority in Indonesia. Despite continuous structural reforms executed by financial regulators, a substantial gap persists between conventional financial inclusion rates and active university student participation in the Islamic capital market, largely driven by religious uncertainties and complex administrative hurdles. This article analyzes a comprehensive, tiered educational framework alongside operational execution strategies implemented by the Kelompok Studi Pasar Modal (KSPM) at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta during the national IDX 10 Days Challenge competition organized by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Employing a mixed-methods action research approach integrated with service-learning, this community outreach intervention combined seamless digital e-KYC registration integration through PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, structured peer mentoring by trained student ambassadors, DSN-MUI Sharia compliance verification, and a targeted micro-capital incentive structure. The program generated 1,228 new Single Investor Identifications (SIDs) as an initial account-opening (onboarding) indicator, improved students' average financial literacy score from 31.0 to 80.2 with a high normalized gain (N-gain = 0.71) on a descriptive basis, and secured 1st Place at the National Level. This study presents a potentially scalable and replicable financial inclusion framework model for higher education institutions seeking to empower digital-native students through practical Sharia financial education and active investment engagement, subject to the methodological limitations discussed in the manuscript..
Ardaniswari Azmi Dewi Heny Dyah Helmi Haris Copyright (c) 2026 Ardaniswari Azmi Dewi, Heny Dyah, Helmi Haris https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-09-30 2026-09-30 6 3 31 40 10.62159/kenduri.v6i3.3052 Peningkatan Peran Kader Posyandu Dalam Deteksi Dini Dan Pencegahan Sindrom Kardiometabolik Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Mamboro Kota Palu https://siducat.org/index.php/kenduri/article/view/3058
Cardiometabolic syndrome (CMS)—characterized by a cluster of risk factors such as central obesity, hypertension, and hyperglycemia—is showing an increasing prevalence in the service area of the Mamboro Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Palu City, necessitating structured preventive and promotive interventions. This community service program aims to enhance the role of *Posyandu* cadres (specifically those focused on the elderly) and housewives in the early detection and prevention of CMS risk factors. The activities employed a participatory, community-based approach involving 91 participants in Mamboro Urban Village. The program stages included baseline anthropometric and blood biochemical assessments, followed by technical training on self-administered early detection (measuring Body Mass Index/BMI, waist circumference, blood pressure, and random blood glucose levels), the introduction of complementary therapeutic modalities (soleus push-up exercises and "smile therapy" exercises), and nutrition education emphasizing boiling or steaming as food preparation methods. Baseline results for the 91 participants revealed a central obesity prevalence of 58.2% (53 individuals), hypertension at 46% (42 individuals), and hyperglycemia (random blood glucose ≥ 200 mg/dL) at 15.4% (14 individuals). Through intensive training, participants demonstrated improved understanding of self-detection and learned simple physical exercises to help manage blood pressure and blood glucose stability. A follow-up evaluation was scheduled for one month post-activity to monitor the consistency of behavioral changes. Empowering *Posyandu* cadres through practical training and complementary therapies offers a potentially applicable alternative strategy for supporting the control of cardiometabolic risk factors at the family level.
Sumarni Muhammad Hasan Basri Muhammad Rizqy Hanif Siti Fadilah Nurul Inayah Syahrul Copyright (c) 2026 Sumarni, Muhammad Hasan Basri, Muhammad Rizqy Hanif, Siti Fadilah, Nurul Inayah Syahrul https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-09-30 2026-09-30 6 3 41 45 10.62159/kenduri.v6i3.3058
