Peran Mahasiswa KKN dalam Meningkatkan Partisipasi Masyarakat Terhadap Kegiatan Keagamaan di Masjid
Abstract
) is a form of community service carried out by students as part of the tri dharma of higher education. One form of real contribution of KKN students is in efforts to increase community participation in religious activities, especially those held in mosques. This study aims to examine in depth the role of KKN students in encouraging community involvement in religious activities in mosques, the strategies used, and the supporting and inhibiting factors faced in the field. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of KKN students, mosque administrators, and the local community. The results of the study showed that the presence of KKN students had a positive impact in increasing community participation in religious activities, such as routine religious studies, Ramadan activities, Al-Quran education for children, and mutual cooperation in cleaning the mosque. KKN students play a role as facilitators, motivators, and innovators in packaging religious activities to be more interesting and relevant to the needs of the community. The strategies implemented include a personal approach to community leaders, collaboration with mosque administrators, dissemination of information through social media, and direct involvement of children and adolescents in mosque activities. However, there are several obstacles in the implementation, such as lack of public awareness of the importance of religious activities, low interest of the younger generation, and the temporary time constraints of KKN students. Even so, the efforts made by KKN students have succeeded in building initial awareness and new enthusiasm in reviving the mosque as a center for religious and social activities. This study concludes that KKN students have a strategic role in building synergy between the mosque and the community, and can be agents of change that encourage an increase in the quality of religious life in the environment where KKN is implemented. Recommendations from this study include the importance of long-term synergy between universities, village governments, and mosque administrators in facilitating the sustainability of religious programs after the completion of the KKN program.
