The Influence of Pop Up Book Teaching Aids on Students' Learning Interest in the Human Respiratory System Material for Class VIII of State Middle School 21, South Bengkulu

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the relationship between pop-up book teaching aids on students' interest in learning in the science subject of the Human Respiratory System. The method used in this study uses a type of quantitative research method. The population in this study were students of class VIII of SMPN 21 Bengkulu Selatan. The sample in this study was class VIII A with a total of 21 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. Research data were collected using a questionnaire with a Liker scale. While the data analysis technique used product moment correlation. The data source in the study was taken from questionnaire statements totaling 32 statement items, namely 16 items of pop-up book teaching aid questionnaire statements and 16 items of student learning interest questionnaire statements. The results of questionnaire data analysis assisted by Excel 2010 using product moment correlation, the use of pop-up book teaching aids with students' interest in learning is a value of = 0.781 which is in the strong category and the results of hypothesis testing using a significance level of α = 5% the t-count value is greater than the t-table then the hypothesis value H1 is accepted. It was concluded that the pop up book tool had a significant relationship in influencing students' interest in learning.
