URGENCY OF SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES TO LEARNING NATURAL SCIENCE (IPA) IN BASIC SCHOOLS

Abstract

The scientific approach is a learning process designed for students or students to actively construct concepts, laws, and principles by observing, formulating, collecting, proposing, analyzing and concluding. In the provisions of the 2013 curriculum, a scientific approach is recommended to be applied in learning. Science learning based on a scientific approach is not new in the world of education to be developed, but the two have often been combined and matched in integration. That way, the purpose of this study is to provide a conceptual overview of the scientific approach to natural science learning in elementary schools so that both can be considered important. Through this paper, the scientific approach has been empirically proven to be an effort to improve the quality of science learning.
